Our pop up events take place at selected venues across Plymouth, with dates and locations announced throughout the year. No walk ins. Founded in July 2025, The Mermaid Boil was created to shake up the local food scene with something truly different. What started as a small passion project has quickly become a citywide sensation, drawing seafood lovers from Plymouth, Devon, Cornwall, and beyond.

Our mission: deliver unforgettable seafood boils packed with delicious spices, mouthwatering flavours, and plenty of good vibes. Every boil is crafted with care, using the freshest seafood and our signature sauces. It’s totally addictive.

Absolutely stunning food and service too!! Unbeatable prices/worth every single penny!!! Been up and down the country having different seafood boils but this one is the best by miles !! You’ll likely be greeted with paper on the tables and a plastic bib—don’t refuse it, you’re going to need it. The food is out of this world and the seafood is always fresh. The mussels and crab clusters are steamed to perfection and the point where the meat pulls away effortlessly, soaked through with the "mermaid boil" secret special sauce.  You’re cracking shells, peeling prawns, and dipping everything back into that pool of golden, liquid This truly is the food of the gods and you'd be stupid to miss out!!!
