How The Mermaid Boil Was Born
Born from a love of New Orleans music and fresh seafood, The Mermaid Boil brings the spirit of Louisiana right here to Plymouth. My first unforgettable seafood boil changed everything. I wanted to share that same joy, flavour, and togetherness with my hometown. So, at the end of July last year, I took a leap of faith and launched The Mermaid Boil: a dream built on passion, bold flavours, and the love of bringing people together.
From day one, it wasn’t just about serving food. It was about creating an experience. Every boil is a little taste of Louisiana, mixed with the best of our coast, and every dish is served with the spirit of joy, family, friends, and music that brings us all together.

What Makes Us Special
The Mermaid Boil is built around more than just incredible seafood. It’s about connection. There’s something powerful about gathering around a table, rolling up your sleeves, and sharing trays piled high with flavour. Our boils are hands-on, vibrant, and full of energy the kind of food that gets people talking, laughing, and making memories.
Since opening, we’ve welcomed guests from Plymouth and beyond people travelling just to experience The Mermaid Boil. Seeing first-timers become regulars and friends turn into family is what makes it all worthwhile.

Every late night, every early morning, every challenge has been worth it. Building The Mermaid Boil from the ground up has taught me resilience, creativity, and the power of following a dream. From perfecting recipes and curating the vibe, to connecting with customers and watching our community grow every step has been a joy.
Looking Ahead
This is just the beginning. My dream is to open a full-scale restaurant a permanent home for The Mermaid Boil and everything it stands for. I want to keep creating spaces where amazing food meets good vibes, where everyone feels welcome, and where connection is at the heart of every meal.
